Hotel Unizo Osaka Umeda is a superior mid-range hotel with highly affordable room rates which opened in Umeda in April 2018. This hotel has excellent amenities which include an on-site restaurant, a 24 hour front desk, and a traditional Japanese garden.

There are many high-quality shopping and dining facilities in the surrounding neighborhood and with good connectivity to local transport this is a great location for either sightseeing or business. This hotel also has a ladies only floor with special facilities and extra security which makes it a great choice for single female travelers.

Guest Rooms

Hotel Unizo Osaka Umeda has single rooms, double rooms, and twin rooms. Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available. There are also some universal single rooms and universal twin rooms which are designed for the comfort of wheelchair users and elderly guests. However, these universal rooms can only be reserved by telephone.

The top floor of the hotel has single rooms which are reserved for ladies only. These rooms have some special amenities, and female guests staying on this floor also have access to the Ladies Lounge where they can relax and enjoy special facilities such as tea, coffee, soft drinks, magazines, and massage chairs.

Guest rooms are decorated in tranquil colors and beds are fitted with Simmons brand bedding for an added level of comfort. All rooms are supplied with wired and wireless broadband internet access, a refrigerator, an LCD TV, a combined air purifier and humidifier, a multiple-device charger, an electric kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, an alarm clock, a trouser press, nightwear, slippers, a negative-ion hair dryer, and a safety box.

All bathrooms have a combined bathtub and shower, and are supplied with a full set of towels. Complimentary toiletries include soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, shaving razors, shaving gel, aftershave cream, hairbrushes, combs, cotton buds, mouthwash, skincare lotion, nail files, and bath salts. Toilets are fitted with a warm water bidet function.

Breakfast & Dining

This hotel’s on-site restaurant is a branch of the Yayoi chain of restaurants, which serves a variety of healthy Japanese style set meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Yayoi at Hotel Unizo is open from 7.00 until 23.00 and breakfast is served between 7.00 and 10.00.

For breakfast, guests can choose between a Japanese style set meal or a Western style set meal. The Japanese set includes fish, steamed rice, miso soup, and a variety of side dishes. The Western style meal includes sausage, eggs, fruit, bread, soup and other side dishes.

Other Services & Facilities

The reception desk at Hotel Unizo is staffed 24 hours a day, so late arrivals and early departures are not a problem. Check-in time is from 14.00, and check-out time is by 12.00 noon.

There are computers in the lobby which guests are free to use. A limited number of laptop computers can also be rented from reception for a fee.

Ice-making machines and soft drinks vending machines are available on some floors.

This hotel has a self-service laundry with coin-operated laundry washing machines and dryers. The washing machines automatically dispense laundry detergent and fabric softener.

The following items are available to borrow: irons with ironing boards, desk lamps, and umbrellas.
Dry cleaning, photocopying, and courier services are all available for a fee.

For security purposes the front entrance is closed at night, but guests can use their room’s card key to enter the hotel at any time. Guests will also need to use their card key to use the elevator.

Location

Hotel Unizo Osaka Umeda is very convenient for local transportation which makes it the perfect base from which to explore Osaka’s many attractions. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from Hankyu Umeda Station, 7 minutes from JR Osaka Station, and 5 minutes from Umeda Subway Station on the Midosuji Subway Line. As a result, popular locations such as Osaka Castle, Universal Studios Japan, and the Kaiyukan Aquarium are just a short train ride away. Hankyu Highway Bus Terminal is a 4 minute walk from the hotel and has limousine bus services that run directly to Kansai International Airport. This hotel’s location is also convenient for the nearby commercial complex, Grand Front Osaka which is just a 6 minute walk from the hotel and features a diverse range of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and other facilities.
